So as many of you know..I am kind of a self proclaimed geek. The idea of cross social network platform integration makes me really really excited. Hence the geek.

In search of ways to communicate with our customers, friends and family through Avenue Coffee we have created a Twitter account and Facebook page and now a website and Wordpress blog. With the hours we are doing it would be nearly impossible to give each medium the full attention it needs. So I decided it was time to integrate or combine every medium from one source, preferably this blog.

Fortunately I found out that Facebook actually will integrate with your Twitter quite seamlously. That took maybe 10 seconds, tops. It was a little tougher to integrate our hosted wordpress blogging platform, but once again Facebook comes through and allows seamless integration with “Notes”. Facebook will actually monitor my wordpress blog’s RSS feed for me.

Next up, a way to post my to the Avenue Coffee blog from the iPhone. Just in case I am ever outside of the coffee shop . Conveniently enough, there is an app for that. In fact, this post to our blog is straight from the iPhone.

So what does this all mean? As a business I can communicate with several mediums simultaneously. This post will travel from my iPhone to our Avenue Coffee blog, and then from the blog to Facebook, and then tweet right on over to Twitter. All automatically.

There is still much to test in the way of functionality, but should be a lot of fun figuring it all out.
