“Small by choice, Whether Clients Like it or Not” Thx @Brian_Clemens
A good friend of Avenue Coffee, @Brian_Clemens (a barista at Cartel Coffee in Tempe), just sent us a link to a great article written in the New York Times last week. It reflects on what a lot of small businesses in the food industry have a problem with, a handful of customers trying to dictate your policies as a business. In his example, its making pizza, his way or the highway.
Check out the article here:

In the end, we do what we think is best for our business, and for ourselves. That is the beauty of a free market, and a great country. If you care enough about the product you serve, and treat it with enough respect, you get to decide exactly how you want to serve it and most of your customers will respect you because of it.
“The customer really isn’t always right.” I say this with all do respect.

“Due respect” my dear, not “do respect.”

Does this mean we can’t make suggestions anymore?
